The old cabin on our property was torn down, removed, and our dream home was built in its place. Chris took this project from beginning to end – including helping us with the design and also the permitting process. We had several permitting issues which Chris helped us with, including meeting with the review board and helping us to get the permits needed to get this project up and going. He helped with the tear down, foundation, and all the steps right up to and including the final clean of the home prior to our moving in. He didn’t miss a single step in between and built us a beautiful home!!

Chris and his team built us an amazing home! His workers were always on time, very friendly, and did quality work. Chris stayed with us from beginning to end – even when it looked like we wouldn’t be able to build due to some permitting issues. Chris never gave up. He helped us with the permitting process and made our dream a reality!! He had great suggestions along the way. He answered all of our questions and he made sure we were able to add everything to the house that we wanted. Basically, he asked us to come up with everything we wanted and he would figure out how to get it done… and he did!We couldn’t be more pleased. We love our new home! Not only is Chris an outstanding builder – he has become a great friend. We would recommend him highly for any building project – from a remodel to a complete tear down and new construction. Chris knows his stuff and he is also a very nice guy.

We were able to stay within budget – and even under budget on some items. Chris was always willing to get the best price, without sacrificing quality. The only times we went over budget was due to our personal choice and an upgrade we decided to do. And Chris completed our home on time – early in fact. We cannot thank Chris, his staff, and his contractors enough for the amazing work they did for us!!! We love our new home and we love cMAC!!!

cMAC is an awesome company to work with.

We are finishing a second round of renovation with cMAC. We knew exactly what we wanted in both rounds of renovation. Chris and his architect always gave us options in the planning stages: we could accomplish what you would like to do like this, or like that, and they would come with drawings for each. Chris is keenly aware of building codes in WA state. Chris is very thorough; We’ve built a compound from scratch, and we’ve done several renovations before we started on the WA state project. Chris always thought of things we didn’t, and we love to brainstorm. He uses quality building materials, and has both structural strength and safety in mind. Chris stays with a contract from beginning to end.

Both Chris and his Superintendent/Foreman are perfectionistic and sticklers for details. His foreman is willing to go the extra mile to make things right, and he stays on top of all the subcontractors, orchestrating their appointments. If they don’t show up on time, he’s all over them about it. This company is very respectful of the home on the job site.

Yes, we had delays on this last project, but it was nothing C-Mac did; it was the county, and they kept in tight communication with the county until it got resolved.

cMAC uses a phenomenal concrete contractor who can create very artistic walls, inside as well as out. I highly recommend exploring the possibilities there. Our concrete retaining walls are beautiful, and we designed them with LED lights built in to both walls and stairs.

They have very quick response times. Chris or Mike usually answer right away, or they always get back to me by the next day. They are pleasant people, as is their office manager, and accountant, Diane.

They have stayed true to their contract prices. They budget for appliances, lights, flooring, counter tops after hearing what we want. We have run over budget with change orders, but we asked for the change in all instances but one. When they excavated the steep hill and driveway and cleared out who knows how many tons of rock and soil to make the front entry more manageable, our power, gas and phone lines were severed. We started out with an older, quaint lake cottage; no one knew for sure where those lines ran to begin with. We were more than happy to pay the cost of having the lines re-run and upgraded to modern code. cMAC has transformed our quaint cottage into a lake home, and they did a beautiful job!

Our realtor recommended cMAC to us for renovations to our recently purchased home on Lake Tapps. Our projects included incredibly minor repairs to floors and cabinetry, significant upgrades to closets, completion of ceiling construction in the daylight basement, and even custom frames for large art pieces. cMAC personnel were always on time, courteous, and kept the many worksites clean during the entire job. We hired cMAC to put a small addition onto our home. The work included addition of a master bed/bath, remodel of a small bedroom to become a hallway and small laundry space, and addition of a front porch.

From the initial design process, through the final touch-ups, Chris and his team were a pleasure to work with—personable, professional, and courteous, with a notable attention to detail. He patiently worked with us and the designer, listened well, and had excellent input for solving design problems that came up. Moreover, Chris generously went the extra mile to help resolve a significant issue that came up with a tree company I’d hired to remove trees to make room for the addition—this was totally outside the work he was hired to do, and very much appreciated. Mike, the construction supervisor, is easy to work with, and very personable.

The tradespeople cMAC brought in for the various phases of work were honest, skilled and professional. Diane, the administrative assistant, is organized, friendly, and puts together very helpful “schedule of values” spread sheets that keep everyone on the same page. The construction came in on schedule, on budget, and with great communication throughout the process.
